Your Celebrity Real Estate Rundown

Gloria Vanderbilt's Upper East Side childhood home, known as The Vanderbilt Mansion, is on the market for $50 million. The townhouse can also be purchased as three separate units, with the penthouse listed at $25 million.

Sting, the singer and bass player for The Police, just bought a $66 million home at 220 Central Park South. He and his wife formerly lived at 15 CPW which was also designed by Robert A.M. Stern.

Khiladi

Priding itself as"unauthentic South Indian," Khiladi brings a new kind of flavor to the East Village. Owner Sruthi Chowdary combines classic street market staples with new, modern flavors and ideas to create a one-of-a-kind menu. Some of the most notable plates include the Idly Poutine and the Rasam Dreams, a spicy and tangy noodle soup.

Xu's Public House

Xu's Public House is a new, luxurious Chinese restaurant near Union Square. The restaurant has a romantic, garden feel to it with a beautiful skylight and an abundance of greenery. Some standout dishes include the Shanghai Truffle Wontons and the Bamboo Fungus Mushroom Soup.

Red Paper Clip

Co-chefs Kevin Chen and Tashi Gyamtso created this West Village restaurant, known for its seasonal American cuisine with influences from all the cultures that make NYC special. À la carte dishes are served at the bar, and tables are reserved for guests who want to experience the full tasting menu which includes items such as the Fava bean agnolotti with brown butter and pecorino foam.

Unique Sofas and Seating
Gone are the days of the standard, square or L-shaped sofa placed in front of a TV. Now, unique and stylish seating arrangements are all the rage. Settees and chaises are being used to bring an air of sophistication to a room, paired with elegant and comfortable chairs for guests to relax on. Designing rooms with rounded sofas are also a nice way to encourage families to engage in good conversation and entertain friends.
