July has ushered in a new chapter for New York City real estate. With the new mayor pushing through major housing initiatives—including a freeze on rent-stabilized apartment increases and a new pied-à-terre tax—our buyers, sellers, investors, and homeowners are asking us and watching closely to understand what these changes could mean for the market.
While many of these proposals will take time to unfold, one thing remains constant: Manhattan real estate has consistently demonstrated resilience through changing political and economic cycles, and we are very happy to report that the market remains strong year over year. In fact, we participated in a bidding war just this past week and are in the process of listing 2 luxury homes just off Madison Avenue!
